Can you have faith in Santa Claus? Jolly Old St. Nicholas is an important part of western society and a lot of us grew up with this magical icon. Recently I came upon the concept that Santa represents an original archetype. In Jungian psychology, archetype is defined as an inherited memory represented from the mind by a universal symbol and observed in dreams and myths.
In searching of these symbolic images on this dear old man I realized that which Santa Claus is short for could also be used to motivate us in creating for your new year. I see him being a fun-loving guy which brings us joy, love, excitement and happiness. It’s said he makes all our dreams and wishes becoming reality. Within this season our company is full of expectations, the brilliance of light-filled homes, the enjoyment of being with friends and neighbors to celebrate life, as well as the joy and gratitude of giving and receiving.
I realize that santa picture ideas reflects several archetypes. He is seen in the Innocent archetype, helping us to trust, to hope and to think that a greater day lies ahead. He or she is clearly driven by faith and trust, bring that hope and giving us that faith along with the trust that will be well.
The Caregiver archetype, however, is just not in the exercise of power this is the motive, but the drive to bestow care on people who want it: the care, concern and nurturing they lack but deserve. He is about giving to others fulfilling their requirements. And that he fails to demand anything in exchange except a cookie, glass of milk or some eggnog. He seems to be a strong guy, settling on who receives a new Nintendo and who gets t-shirts or shoes. If we are excellent and when we believe, Santa will assure we have everything we wish.
An important facet of Santa’s story may be the magical transformation from his rising up a chimney by the touch of his nose in addition to his yearly trek worldwide. And in addition, his flying reindeer without GPS onboard is nothing short of miraculous, indeed. He magically brings gratitude, compassion and enjoy to all, one child’s heart at one time. Santa will be the quintessential Magician archetype helping us transform and transcend current reality to locate new methods of dealing, being and succeeding.
When we are creating our dreams, our visions, and our choices for 2010, let’s all remember to use our Santa Claus model along with the Law of Attraction, Creation and Allowing. When you have selected and after that more clearly defined the options in creating your 2010 Journey, utilize this strategy to shift your beliefs and allowing of that you desire.
Sometimes only the subtle shift from viewing our images from an adult part of trying to force, worrying over and wondering how things changes, to the wide-eyed expectations and faith of kids. An integral aspect of the Art of Allowing would be to let go and let God. Releasing our attachment to old beliefs, ideas and teachings allows us to open to the Infinite Likelihood of the Universe.
Then too, we are able to liken Santa’s management techniques to some universal manager. Can you envision him bringing toys to everyone, world-wide, within just one night? And all of promptly and within budget? That’s what we’re taught the Universe is capable of doing for all of us, when we transform it over to God/Source. Inside the book “Ask & It Really Is Given” among the Proven Processes is catchusanta it to the manager. Since we set our goals, it’s like delegating to some Universal Manager. And also as we take a step back, and permit the Universe set things into position, we CREATE! Remember, we’re not stopping choices, we’re merely turning over all the information and creating our choices.
I urge you to pay attention to giving to your Universal Manager all the stuff you feel you want to do within this holiday week. You’ll believe it is amazing that as we shift our focus of reality, our reality changes. I’ve performed this personally when I’ve felt overwhelmed by all of the chores I feel I must do. Amazingly, some get done, some don’t, and some just don’t seem very important. I’ve had instances when my daughters and daughters-in-law would offer to accomplish some of the baking. I’ve learned to take help and reply with a grateful “Yes!” This procedure is priceless in every facets of life, not merely the holidays. Legislation of Attraction is unfolding and orchestrating all that needs to happen to bring me my desires, Now.
